Quillopia had a considerable time interacting with the aspiring author. Let's begin--

Can you tell our readers about yourself and your journey as an author?

I am a young author and a research lad who believes that everything is in our hands. We can make our life ridiculously amazing. Trust and believe in yourself, my career mantra. I have recently completed my B.tech in Computer science and Engineering from Galgotias University, Greater Noida. I have written and published three books named Deep Realization, Perfect goodness of Ghost, and Unbelievable Transformation and received a fair amount of appreciation for the efforts. I am also a contributory author of three more books. The love of books made me an avid reader, and the love of reading worthwhile stuff inspired me to write. My journey as an author has just begun, and I am trying to put my sincere efforts into writing meaningful content for the readers. I have ambitious plans to write diversified content falling in different genres.

Being academically-sound right from my schooling days, I was fascinated by books, and I have always appreciated the nuances of literature. Luckily, in my college days, I started publishing research papers, which took me further in this direction. It was a spontaneous thought that struck in my mind that when I am good at written communication skills and I know the art of using words wisely and consciously, why shouldn't I write a book? However, becoming a published author has been one of my many dreams. As I believe in planning and execution, so after intense consideration and self-thinking, I decided to kickstart writing. My writing experience is hugely nurturing, pragmatic, welcoming, high-yielding, and fun, and now I believe that we should make this world a better place to stay by sharing words.

I strongly believe in presenting the story with a jaw-dropping twist and in conveying deep messages with a lifelong meaning, said Azeem Uddin.”

How do you create plots and characters for your novels? Do you often find any inspiration from your real life?

Before creating my first draft, I mainly worked and researched a lot to create an intriguing and thought-provoking storyline and lifelong messages. I develop setting, plot, characters, conflict, and theme with absolute brainstorming and self-thinking. When it comes to creating plots and characters, I try to create an ultimate plot that can symbolize the crux or gist of the story. For characters, I keenly try to acknowledge both the physical and personal attributes of my characters, and then I name them according to the peculiar characteristics and behavior. And yes, I do try to include instances and observations of my personal experiences as well.

You have also co-authored two books. Can you tell our readers about your experiences of co-writing?

Yes, I have co-authored two books. I should say- three books in general. Recently, I have also been a part of one more anthology book. It is going to be released very soon. Being a co-author also sounds good and satisfying, and I think this is the most convenient and easy way to get published because you have an external publication house that wants your work to get published after acceptance. One does not need to seek any publication house. Moreover, the draft for the anthology book is also relatively short. My experience has been worthwhile, and even my first co-authored book became the best-seller as well because of the combined efforts of all writers.

What was an early experience where you realized that language had power?

When I started writing and publishing research papers, that was the turning point in my life. I got acquainted with technical writing, and then I switched to creative/fiction writing processes. However, becoming a published author has always been one of my many dreams.

On a personal level, my journey has been all about consistent efforts, appropriate brainstorming, and thoughtful thinking, and of course, sheer hard work. Now, I am grinning from ear to ear and thrilled to bits that all my books see the light of the day. I strongly believe in presenting the story with a jaw-dropping twist and conveying profound messages with a lifelong meaning.

What made you interested in the Model UN?

Being a lover of public-speaking and written-communication, Model UN fascinated me because it involves and teaches participants speaking, debating, and writing skills, in addition to critical thinking, team-work, and leadership abilities. Moreover, it helps students to develop both personally and professionally.

What are some of your personal, academic, and professional goals that Model UN helped you with?

Personally, Model UN helped me a lot when it comes to being a good host, speaker, or panelist. I love my internship. I learned some advanced hacks and the art of public speaking. I have always loved to be a delegate at Model UN. Usually, as an extracurricular activity, some schools also offer Model UN as a class. I believe that becoming competitive at Model UN means developing proficiency in various skills that enable you to demonstrate leadership throughout a MUN conference. I have taken a number of takeaways from the MUN conference so far.

How publishing your first book did affect your process of writing?

I would like to tell you a bit about my first book Deep Realization. It is an imaginative, amusing, and thought-provoking fiction and a deliciously terrifying blend of satire on permanent cessation, social issues, and life skills with a little comedy thrown in. It is extended fictional prose created upon the bedrock of sentimental themes. It is an emotionally-charged story that provides an impressive portrayal of modern life with a touch of suspense and blood-curdling incidents containing a powerhouse of justifiable characters and producing an efficacious message of basic goodness and righteousness of humankind. The story has a rhythmic dimension and revolves around transforming a carefree, irresponsible, outgoing, fun-loving, and disobedient son into a matured, wise, warm-hearted, and solicitous son.

After publishing my first book, I learned many things. The entire publishing process, defeating writer's block, show and tell concept, promotion and marketing services, and advanced creative writing, these are the factors that I improved a lot.

For the new writers, can you differentiate between the process of releasing ebooks and paperbacks?

Print books have the feel of a book that many readers love. You can hold it, turn the pages, and feel the paper. Paper books are easier on the eyes since no eye-strain comes with an electronic device. E-books are usually less expensive than their counterparts. E-books come with font-flexibility, making reading more comfortable, and e-readers can store thousands of e-books on a single device.

If we talk about the publishing process, then I would say that publishing an e-book is somewhat less tedious than a printed book, and I think a writer should release an ebook and then move to paperbacks.
